Hi guys, i'll be investigateing an interesting topic,do you think honesty is really the best policy?
Well.....maybye...see, if i tell you, you been learning REAL hard for an exam, and during the the exam, you tried your hardest, your parents told you if you got 75 for your exam, you can get a laptop that you always wanted,(this is a fake story) but, when you got back your results, you got 75, you jumped for joy, but while fipping true the paper, you noticed the teacher marked you right when you wrong, you were supposed to get 73, would you tell the teacher, and miss the chance of getting a laptop, or another case, if you have found a job that pays well, and you took mounth to get that job and you are only suitible for that job, you can't find any others because this one pay enough, your family relies on you to bring back the money so they can survive, the next day, your boss asked your friend to do a very important document for the company, your freind agreed, then, while your freind was doing the document, your computer crashed, so, you asked your freind wherether you could use his computer, your freind agreed but told you not to touch the document, then, when you where using the com, you accidentaly deleated the important document. When you told your freind what happend he said 'see what happend!!! Now i'll be dead for sure, well guess i have to face the music.....'
The next day your boss found out what happend and was about to fire your freind, would you tell him the truth and let the boss fire you instead and also let your family starve to death or tell your boss what really happened?
Now these 2 cases, when you think about it, is honesty really the best policy? For the laptop case, ok, maybye your parents are kind enough to still give you the laptop since you worked so hard, but what if they are not? Maybe the teacher is nice enough to still give you that 2 marks but what if shes not, would you lie and change your answer and get the laptop or risk the laptop and tell the truth, if you asked me..... i'd tell the truth.....
Now what about the job case? What if your boss was kind enough to forgive you since you told the truth? What if you freind was rich and still could live without a job? What if your freind was as poor as you? This i have no answer nither....tough though....
Here a last case, you commited murder but no one knows it, would you tell the truth, wheteher you tell the truth or not, you would still get hanged, but, if you told the truth, your reputation would be an honest person....
So my conculsion is, HONESTY REALLY IS THE BEST POLLICY! No matter what the case, your reputation is not 'liar'
